Karan Sethi is the Principal Designer behind the growing interior design practice, Qube Designs, known for creating deeply personal, layered, and character-rich spaces across residential and commercial environments. His work focuses on crafting interiors that balance emotional depth with functional clarity, resulting in spaces that are immersive, timeless, and reflective of the people who inhabit them.

Karan began his journey in design in 2004 with formal education in interior design, followed by early professional exposure in the furniture importing and retail business. While this phase strengthened his understanding of materials and market dynamics, his creative direction became clearer in 2011 when he undertook his first commercial interior project. The opportunity to shape spaces from concept to execution marked a turning point, establishing his professional journey within commercial interiors.

By 2019, his practice expanded into residential interiors, where he discovered his true creative calling. Designing homes allowed him to engage closely with personal narratives, lifestyle needs, and emotional experiences, creating environments that go beyond aesthetics to become lived-in stories. Over time, his design language evolved organically through experimentation with materials, finishes, and detailing, eventually shaping a signature style characterised by classical influences, darker tonal palettes, and maximalist compositions layered with texture and character.

Karan’s role within the studio remains strongly design-focused, leading creative direction and ensuring that every project maintains conceptual depth and executional precision. His philosophy centres on complete creative immersion, where each project is approached with emotional, artistic, and technical commitment so that spaces carry a strong identity and enduring appeal. He consciously remains focused on interior design, choosing depth within his discipline over diversification into unrelated areas.

His design process balances creative freedom with long-term entrepreneurial vision. Rather than replicating trends, Karan strives to create timeless spaces by experimenting with materials, craftsmanship, and techniques in innovative ways. Each project becomes an opportunity to push creative boundaries while ensuring practical longevity and experiential value. Karan was also a key speaker at FOAID 2025 and talked about Narrative as Identity: Your Story is the Brand. One of his greatest projects includes his own home, which is a blend of Maximalist Indian Interiors, which got featured on LBB Homely.

Like many creative journeys, his path has been shaped by both challenges and milestones. The COVID period brought projects to a temporary standstill, testing resilience and belief in the future of the business. Another transformative phase came with the shift from commercial to residential interiors, where projects demanded greater sensitivity to personal preferences and multi-stakeholder decision-making. These experiences strengthened his ability to balance creative vision with client expectations.

Since then, the practice has expanded beyond Delhi NCR, undertaking projects across multiple cities and gradually entering international markets, affirming that the studio’s design sensibility resonates across regions. Digital platforms and social media have further helped build awareness and community around the studio’s work while allowing knowledge-sharing within the design ecosystem. The year 2025 marks a period of renewed momentum and recognition, reflecting years of consistent effort and growth.
