About Ar. Leena Kumar
Ar. Leena Kumar is a graduate in architecture from Bangalore University and set up an award-winning architecture practice, KUMAR CONSULTANTS, in 1990. The firm has worked on several projects in hospitality, residential, institutional, educational, industrial, commercial and healthcare sectors. She has been involved with the larger fraternity of architects and interior designers since 2008. She was on the core technical committee of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for formulating the Green Interiors rating system, which was launched in November 2015 at the Green Building Congress, Gandhinagar. She convened the first conference on Green Interiors by the IGBC in 2014. She is currently the Chairperson of ASSOCHAM GEM, Karnataka Chapter, and is on the Board of Governors – Mysore School of Architecture. She has been the National Joint Honorary Secretary of the IIA, Chairperson of the IIA and IIID Karnataka Chapter, and Design Chair – BGS School of Architecture.
