Smirati Bhatnagar brings over two decades of cross-disciplinary expertise across architectural design, real estate development, and construction management. As Assistant Director at Design Forum International (DFI), she steers both the firm’s architectural vision and its strategic long-term growth, translating complex briefs into highly functional, buildable realities. Her technical expertise spans a diverse spectrum of typologies, including high-density group housing, luxury residences, experiential retail environments, high-performance workspaces, and public infrastructure.
Grounded in DFI’s core PeopleFirst philosophy, Smirati brings a function-led lens to project delivery across India. Her portfolio reflects a truly pan-India footprint, with high-value projects across diverse regional landscapes. She has been instrumental in executing and supervising teams across multiple complex programs, including residential landmarks like The Falcon by The Dalcore and Adani Samsara Avasa in Gurugram, Ashiana Mulberry in Sohna, OnebyMSN in Hyderabad, Casagrand Suncity in Chennai and Navami Landmark in Bengaluru, alongside prominent commercial and retail/office hubs like GYGY Mentis and GYGY Five-O in Noida, AIPL JoyStreet in Gurugram, and The Heritage Mall in Patna.
Smirati’s project management expertise also encompasses DFI’s contribution to Nation-Building through critical public domain projects. Her upcoming commercial and retail projects span Tier-2 and Tier-3 urban landscapes such as Karnal and Jhansi, bringing global insights to localised infrastructure needs. A respected voice within the professional ecosystem, she actively participates in panel discussions, workshops, and industry forums to discuss changing business dynamics in real estate and sustainable urban growth.
Beyond professional practice, Smirati is an avid reader with a personal collection of over 1,000 books and is a devoted Potterhead. She also enjoys painting, sketching, cooking, and photography.
