Yas Bay Waterfront Project’s Work Advancing Rapidly

By:

The Miral officials have given updates on Yas Bay Arena’s progress. The AED 12 billion project on the southern end of Yas Island is on the completion track. Currently, 75 per cent of the construction has been completed and the structure is fully done.

The façade work is 25 per cent of the façade work is done. This new Emirate’s indoor venue is set to open next year. This new waterfront destination will feature a capacity of 18000 people. This entertainment destination will have two hotels, Yas Bay Arena, a beach club, 37 restaurants and cafes, 19 retail outlets, and a pier. This project has been aimed to feature sustainable building design and could become a “zero plastic” venue. The facade’s fins will reflect the sun and reduce the air-conditioning requirements.

The project has already won the title of ‘Sustainable Building Design of the Year’ at the Middle East and North Africa Green Building Awards in 2018. This is the largest indoor, air-conditioned area in Dubai which can cater to 18,000 people. Miral has invested AED 4 billion in this project.
